SPECIAL: “She’s Getting Married…!!!”

Atlanta, USA - For Spring/Summer 2007, Europe’s finest couturiers and designers have created breathtaking gowns and dresses for future brides. From short or long to lace and bejewelled, this season’s creations will surely transport us all to a place where modern day fairytale weddings. And inspirations for the season’s exclusive picks were various…

At Christian Lacroix, we find an exquisitely done lace dress dusted in gold and with large sleeves. This creation is set apart by the broidered heart motif at the bust line. Vivienne Westwood created a re-embroidered lace wedding dress with Swarovski crystals, while Eyméric François took inspiration from India for his bride’s dress.

Elie Saab’s dresses the complete wedding party. His bride wears re-embroidered sparkling tulle highlighted with a flattened bow at the bust. Her re-embroidered tulle cape forms a long train. The bridesmaids find themselves in long empire gowns with draped bust in powdery silk beige.

Franck Sorbier proposes an elegant body hugging lace gown with long sleeves for the occasion, which is in stark contrast to the electrifying above-the-knee ballerina inspired creation of Georges Chakra.

Both couturiers, Georges Hobeika and Zuhair Murad, created stunning wedding gowns with high Hollywood glamour too them. Hobeika’s handiwork is seen in the details. And Murad chose to create bust-flattering wedding gowns with volume.

Meanwhile, the couturier Gerald Watelet and the fashion house Carven both created more traditional gowns. Watelet chose to create a subtle gown in white, which flatters the woman who doesn’t need artificial embellishments. Carven created the ideal traditional wedding gown with voluminous bottom.

On Aura Tout Vu worked with lots of tulle for their creation, while Dupré Santabarbara offers a radical “biker” bride for the season...
