Paris, France - After decades of glamour, an era comes to an end with the retirement from the runways of Valentino. The designer has chosen the presentation of his Spring/Summer 2008 collection to bring his career full circle and with which to go out with a bang.

This last haute couture collection signed by the Italian great is a colorful one created in silk chiffon, silks and muslin. From daywear suits with large hats to the evening gowns, nothing was left to guesswork. Ruffles, pastel colors, pleating, etc. all were present for this one of a kind send-off. And off course, Valentino ended the show with an army of "Valentino" red shirts.
