VERSACE: Simple Colors For Fall/Winter 2008/09

Marcellous Jones

By Alexander T. Thompson
January 20, 2008

Atlanta , Georgia - It seems as if Donatella is taking a much calmer approach with her designs than in the past. Her women’s spring and men’s fall are both calm and simple. With this men’s collection, she seems to love the design of the double breasted coat as majority of her collection was done in this style of coats and jackets.

The use of minimum color was highly considered for the collection as well. The color palette is simple, and it worked out wonderfully. The fit of the clothing is nice and crisp being tailored to an exact fit, with very few items oversized. Celebrities Jay-Z and Beyonce made an appearance, and they both seemed to be pleased with the collection.
