Lodz, Poland – Spanish fashion house Custo Barcelona had the honor of officially opening the Spring/Summer 2012 edition of the FashionPhilosophy Fashion Week here in Lodz. And with that one may say that the 52 women’s silhouettes presented during the special show is a bit too much. Indeed, we may find here almost any and everything that can be imagined. But we should be really careful when judging. It is not only the hometown of the founders that comes to mind, but also vivid visions of a master mosaic by Gaudi, here expressed through an abundancy of fabrics, colors and patterns.

Custo Dalmau artistic director and founder of the house of Custo Barcelona boasts of following the 3C rule as he works. The collection should be contemporary, colored, and creative. It‘s directed to the young people, who have sense of humour and individuality. Believing in these principles, everyone has to say that the Spring/Summer 2012 collection inscribes to the universe of all designers‘ works.

In this new collection for Spring/Summer 2012 one will have no difficulty at all looking for these aformentionned elements. The vast majority of the collection is a unique juxtaposition of colored, shiny, fluid and etheral, and transparent pieces, completed with unusual accessories, such as mini handbags or deadly high heels adorned with fin-like pieces. It range runs from chic one and two-piece swimsuits, to sequined shorts and blazers and finally to colorful see-through maxi dresses. The key elements of the entire collection are specially made 3D fabrics that bring to mind a kaleidoscope, providing the viewer with the almost endless array of possibilities in optical reception.
