Atlanta, USA - The presentation of the Spring/Summer 2008 collections during Paris fashion week was the stage of several important endings and beginnings. Not only does it coincide with the one year anniversary of MLJ MEDIA and I-WASH’s public launch of TheF ashionInsider.com, it also represents in my opinion the strongest spring season presented in Paris in a decade.

Filled with glamour and new innovations, it is clear that Italian fashion designer and grand couturier made it a point to go out on top of his art. Through it, he provided what was the most emotional moment of fashion week as the standing ovation at the end of the show so well proved. It goes without saying that the Valentino collection was one of the SEVEN BEST of the season. The grand finale of his career will take place in January at the presentation of his finale haute couture show. Full circle, he will end his personal involvement in fashion as he began it.

More internationally known around the world for her men’s collection, Albou felt that the stars had finally properly aligned themselves above the Paul & Joe brand, making it the perfect time to present it on the runway before the eyes of the world! Energetic, musical and enthusiastic, her collection proved to be one of the most exciting and electrifying, IF NOT THE MOST, women’s collection of the season.

As Valentino closed the curtain on his ready-to-wear collection, the last day of Paris fashion week saw opening of a new one for American favourite, Ralph Rucci. He presented his ready-to-wear line in Paris for the first time, and then followed it up with the presentation of his haute couture collection. The pure lines and the majesty of his work brought fashion week to a proper ending with its standing ovation for the couturier. ...
