Atlanta, USA - Okay so this month I'm on vacation. That simply means that I'm working from my offices in Atlanta, doing a bit of networking, taking in some theatre, spending time with my friends and family while skillfully coordinating my social calendar around The Young and the Restless; Passions and The Bold & the Beautiful. The good thing is that this really allows me to wind down while preparing for the giant-sized September edition of www.TheFashionInsider.com, which is sure to blow you all away.
I met the 1982 Tony Award winning Best Actress Jennifer Holiday after a show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. (Fabulous is really part of the theatre's name.) She has just wrapped up what some say is her last performances as the original Effie White character from the original Broadway musical, Dream Girls.
In many ways, Jennifer Hudson owes her own Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the film version of Dream Girls to Holiday, who created the role. The two women performed together as a duo the heart-stopping "And I Am Telling You That I'm Not Going" at the recent BET AWARDS. It was like watching the teacher showing the pupil who is the master diva and dream girl!
While doing a YouTube.com research for that BET performance, I discovered Michael Buckley's video show, "What The Buck!". This man is so funny. We can say that you will be hearing much more about him in the near future. But anyway, because of that search I was able to see his coverage of Beyoncé Knowles's fall at her Orlando concert. Buckley's coverage is far beyond the limits of what is reasonably hilarious.
