Los Angeles, CA – First it was Princess Diana, then Mother Theresa and now, Anna Nicole Smith! That’s right. The fatal blond known to most as the infamous Anna Nicole died last Thursday in her hotel room, in Hollywood, Florida just north of Miami. Now that tragedy has stricken its heavy hand against Anna Nicole, what will the world do without this moral compass, which was Anna Nicole Smith.
Born Vickie Lynn Hogan, Nicole had quite a life: former Guess Jeans model, former Playmate of the Year at Hugh Heffner’s worldwide known publication, Playboy; former star of the reality television star - Anna Nicole Show. It would seem that her career was a fairytale until close to the end. But in between those few moments of fame, she had her share of pain and drama.
Abandoned by her father, estranged by her mom and single mother at age 20, she made her way to the top of the ladder. At age 23, she shocked the world when she married the 89 year old billionaire J. Howard. Shortly upon his death in 1995, she became embroiled in a legal battle with Marshall’s son. After reversal upon reversal of court decisions, she finally got her day before the U.S. Supreme court, who ruled in her favour. In the last days of her life, she signed a contract to represent the weight lose product, Trimspa. After a hard fought victory over prescription-drug addiction, it seemed that Anna had finally found happiness. Then tragedy struck. Three days after giving birth to her daughter Dannielyne on September 2, 2006, her son Daniel died suddenly while on visit with his mother at her new home in the Bahamas.
While mourning the loss of Daniel, a terrible legal battle began to determine Dannielynn’s paternity, with photographer Larry Birkhead and attorney Howard K. Stern, vying for top honours.
