Atlanta, Georgia - What do you do when you happen to be one of the most important designers of the last 20 years? What do you do when you have dressed the world’s most famous actresses, jetsetters and world’s most stylish trendsetters? What do you do when your name is inextricably linked to Madonna and her most memorable tour outfits? And what do you do when you have been in the fashion business for 30 years and want to cap it all of in style? Well, you obviously throw a party, but not just any party.
Jean-Paul Gaultier celebrated in Paris his thirty years of fashion creations with a wild party and magic show during the recent Spring/Summer 2007 ready-to-wear collections in Paris. For the occasion, Gaultier called upon some of the world’s most powerful fashion editors to be a part of the magic show. Among them were Suzy Menkes, Hamish Bowles and Anna Piaggi.
The party was without a doubt one of the premiere social events of the ready-to-wear show season. With Boy George as the guest DJ, the party lasted into the wee hours of the morning as the fashion establishment, celebrities, friends, well-wishers and fans turned out to honour l’enfant terrible of creation, international high fashion and haute couture.
