"The Hurt Locker" wins Best Film at 2010 BAFTA.
KATHRYN BIGELOW BEATS EX-HUSBAND JAMES CAMEROON FOR BEST DIRECTOR HONOURS AT THE BAFTA AWARDS

London, UK - "The Hurt Locker" staged an upset last night when it picked up the best film award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The film’s director, Kathyrn Bigelow, also the ex-wife of director James Cameroon, won for Best Director. Both Cameroon and his “Avatar” film were rivals to the winners in the same two categories.
“Avatar won two awards for production design and special visual effects, while "The Hurt Locker" picked up more awards for editing, cinematography and sound. Disney-Pixar picked up awards for best animated film and music for “Up”.

- Carey Mulligan, Best Actress - "An Education."
- Christopher Waltz, Best Supporting Actor - "Inglourious Basterds"
- Mo'Nique, Best Supporting Actress - "Precious."
