New York, NY - American actress Brittany Murphy is confirmed dead. A responding fire department spokesman said that a call coming the 1800 block at Glen Rising Rd was related to the actress. She died of cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Brittany Murphy first rose to fame thanks to the surprise hit fashion-forward movie Clueless in which she co-starred with Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash. Just recently at an even held on December 3, Murphy admitted that she wanted to have a baby in 2010.
