Milan , Italy - Backstage at Frankie Morello, models and dancers clad in nothing but underwear and shockingly small towels sauntered around in anticipation of the start of the show. They patiently waited to show off their muscular and fine tuned bodies with the rest of the cast of models. With pure allures of the expected sexiness to come, the designer duo did not disappoint. Once the dancers took the stage and struck provocative poses while being sketched by artists, the show began in earnest.

For its Fall Winter 2009/2010 collection, the house is proposing youthful looking suits in greys. They are supported with colourful tops and sweaters in green, Bordeaux , grey, etc. Among the most entertaining pieces, we find a winter green leather bomber with hood that link the shoulders and head into a distinctive triangle trimmed in fur.

The designers, Piero and Maurizio also propose interesting suits for the evening. Generally finished off with a single button, we find them in a glossy navy blue and with detailed stitch fronts. They have been cut and crafted in a way that make it necessary to study them a bit in order to fully appreciate them. They can be easily complimented by the oversized wool and cashmere capes that the duo sent out among their accessories.

Whether they are loose fitting or cut slender, the trousers all fall just above the ankles. Though majority cut above the ankles, the entire collection has a distinct feeling of the late 1940s. Overall, this collection with its numerous oversized knit pieces like sweaters and capes is a likely contender for going to be considered one of the highlights from Milan ’s 2009/2010 Fall/Winter fashion week for men.
