Paris, France - The fashionable crowd recently their way to celebrate the grand opening of Jean Luc Amsler’s first Parisian boutique at 25 rue du Dragon in the 6 th arrondissement.
Amsler, who shows regularly in Paris , already has several boutiques located in China where he has a strong following. Now, his Parisian clientele has a rendezvous spot too where they can share in the delights.
Upon arrival to the boutique it became clear that this was the place to be. The crowd-with drinks in hand- had already spilled out onto the street. The models- wearing unusual head pieces and black gloves- circulated amongst the guests with the trains of their beautiful dresses close behind them while the DJ spun tunes that had everyone tapping their hands and feet. From the outside looking in, the stark white interior and floor made for an atmosphere in which the clothes stood out- in a really bold manner.
The mannequin in the front window, dressed in a fitted high collared white blouse and an interesting variation of a short black skirt gave an immediate indication as to the predominant color palette and style of the collection that would be found throughout the store. The designer chose to use black and white as the basis of his collection, while incorporating some hot pink, mint green, and silver, into edgy-yet-chic items perfect for both day and night time wear. Embellishments on several pieces are what stood out the most- the black collared floor length dress with large black chunky beads traveling vertically down the front, or the black bustier covered with polished gun metal and purple stones were the pieces that caught everyone’s eye.
