Athens , Greece – During a press conference held today at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Athens Greece , American designer John Varvatos announced the imminent coming of a signature women’s line.

“My wife is relentless about me doing a women’s line, he said. “I will launch a women’s line within the next 2 years. We are currently putting together our organisation”.

While answering reporter’s questions regarding his presence in Athens and the future of his company, Varvatos also took advantage of the conference to announce the deep expansion of his company into Europe . The company is moving its European operations from London to Milan and will focus on growth in the UK , France , Italy , Russia and Greece , where its fragrance line already has a strong presence.

Varvatos is in Athens where he opened the 6 th Hellenic Fashion Week. A second generation American of Greek origin, the designer was presented a special award by the Hellenic Fashion Designers Association for his significant contributions to global fashion.
