Atlanta, Georgia – The Couture Connoisseur Fashion Network (CCFN) has launched the first Haute.Lanta Fashion Week™. The fashion week will take place from September 19th to September 23rd at the World Trade Center Atlanta.
The fashion week is a platform for local and international designers to showcase their Spring/Summer 2008 collections to buyers, consumers, celebrities, international media, and fashion forward socialites.
Atlanta, Georgia is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the U.S. and has received national attention for its professional designers, musical talent, and high profile celebrity presence. Although this is true, Atlanta's design community has been overlooked and there has not been a successful and continuous week of fashion. CCFN has an impressive line-up of events for this extravagant week of fashion, including a mansion pre-party and the official Haute.Lanta Fashion Week kick-off event is sponsored by Atlanta’s premier night club, Fever.
In addition, a five million dollar diamond accessory exhibit -- sponsored by H. Couture Beauty, the multi-million dollar beauty empire owned by Taysha Smith Valez, -- will be displayed in the World Trade Center Atlanta throughout the week. CCFN is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of an event that will have such a positive economic impact on the city of Atlanta as well as the local design industry as a whole.
Haute.Lanta Fashion Week™ has already received a Phoenix Award from Mayor Shirley Franklin and has the support of several city officials. Some 30 designers including five noted industry giants will show their collections over the five-day period.
All shows will be held in the Garden Atrium of the World Trade Center Atlanta, save for the Women’s collections which will take place at the Plaza Atrium adjacent to the Museum of Contemporary Art of GA. The 55 floor solid granite building designed by John Portman & Associates is an elegant backdrop for the art that is fashion. Infused with art deco accents, spiraling staircases and custom sculpture, each evening will breathe fashion as the door to the hub of the new south opens for the world to notice its presence in the world of fashion and design.
A portion of the proceeds from Haute.Lanta Fashion Week™ will go to Save the Children, the leading independent organization working to create opportunities for the world's children to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives. For more information, log on to www.savethechildren.org.
