New York, NY - The Hollywood actress Salma Hayek is expecting her first child at 40 with the French tycoon and businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault, 44.

The Mexico-born Hayek has starred in films such as “Dogma”, "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" and "After the Sunset." She received a Best Actress nod at the 2002 Academy Awards for her performance in the film “Frida”, which she produced and in which she starred. She is also an executive producer of ABC's much lauded and awarded winning hit series, "Ugly Betty". She recently guest starred in 5 episodes of the comedy as a hypocrite magazine editor.

Pinault is chairman and chief executive officer of the luxury goods company PPR SA, which owns high-end fashion houses including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney and Balenciaga. He is also the son of the multi-billionaire, François-Pinault, the 74th richest man in the world according to Forbes. Pinault's PPR SA also owns La Redoute, FNAC and the the department stores, Printemps.

With the tying of the knot between Hayek and Pinault, PPR will “acquire” its first piece of Hollywood.
