Novi Sad, Serbia - The Serbian designer, Svetlana Horvat, was awarded the very first Fashion Insider Spirit & Achievement Award for her lifelong work and her efforts to bring international attention to the fashion, textiles and related industries of Serbia and in the Balkan states that once composed the former Yugoslavia .

Marcellous L. Jones, Executive Producer at Fashion Insider TV and editor-in-chief at TheFashionInsider.com webmag, recently travelled to Novi Sad, Serbia where he presented the award to Mrs. Horvat following her fashion show. He also delivered the keynote speech before members of parliament, VIPs and local officials at the show and ceremony.

“Mrs. Svetlana Horvat is a most worthy recipient of this award and surely deserves it”, said Jones during a post show interview with the largest news and television channels in the Serbia. “Thanks to her dream, her vision, her passion and her commitment, she will help the world take new interest in the 'made in Serbia' label and in fashion coming from Serbia and Balkan states. She has the courage to move mountains, and we are proud to stand with her.”

The Fashion Insider Spirit & Achievement Award is accompanied by a media and advertisement package valued at 25,000 Euros. It will be used to help promote the Svetlana Horvat Couture brand name through its media supports around the world.
